Due to the degeneration of our organs, due to our hair turning grey, wrinkling, pigment and loose skin, we are always obsessed with a sense of inferiority when we become old. Although others always say: you don’t seem to be that old….. Only we know it clearly in the depth of our heart, no matter how little our appearance matches with our age, our younger self is long gone. And how big the gap between what appearsm and what doesn’t appear.
It is the most common thing that people look the right way at their age. We see people taking uncountable amount of methods just to retain their beauty, but facelift and liposuction both cause suffering. It might be slightly necessary for actors, but why should ordinary people suffer all these pains. Isn’t it the simplest choice to look like who you are at your age?
However, there are a lot of advantages to old age compared with young age:
Firstly, we can get rid of working for making a living and enjoy our life as much as possible. Every morning we won’t be woken up by the alarm, instead we can wake up as late as we want. There is nothing we must do, just follow your heart and be free; we can choose to do a little, nothing or just be numb.
Secondly, we can get out of much terrible communicate relationship, such as the relationship between superiors and subordinates, colleagues and other relationship we have to deal with for making a living. Only pure relationships between family members, lovers and friends are left. That is the relationship which only bring us happiness, not trouble. Where we get along swimmingly with each other and enjoy.
In addition, with debility of body, people have more time and more energy to enter into spiritual world, to seek beauty, and to enjoy beauty. And if possible, it can create beauty. In the spiritual world, we can indulge in meditation, improve ourselves through practice, and gain happiness from the spiritual area with affluent thoughts besides feeling at ease.
Just imagine everyday soaring in the vast sky, wandering in the spiritual land, re-examining our own life and following our heart, and feeling the pleasure of existence, wouldn’t that be a fascinating journey.
